Get involved!

New guidance was published by the Department of Education to “help inspire the next generation of British athletes by supporting schools to boost high-quality PE and school sport. This will create the foundations for active healthy lifestyles and help children follow in the footsteps of the sporting heroes they’ll be watching this summer at the Olympics, Paralympics and Euro 2024 football tournament. The guidance, which will be published in the run-up to the Women’s Six Nations Championship, builds on the government’s commitment to improve the quality of PE and sport for all pupils.”

While this guidance is aimed at school sport, at Banana Moon Bromley, we believe it is never too early to lay the foundations for regular participation in physical activity and sport, leading to improved physical health and better mental wellbeing. Aside from equal participation, equal access is also important, and at Banana Moon Bromley, our regular sports sessions, are available for ages 2 and up, and the session days are rotated every six weeks to allow all children to spend some of their daily outdoor time participating in a wide variety of supervised sporting activities. Externally provided activities are part inclusive of our fees, so no there are no hidden extras and all children can join in!

Rugby Tots
Rugby Tots is a rugby coaching program for children aged 2-7 years. Classes are designed to be fun and inclusive, and they teach children the basics of rugby skills in a safe and supportive environment. Their motto is simple; "make it more fun", we do this by delivering our specifically designed programme for each age group with energy, enthusiasm, and excitement. This creates an atmosphere in the class that is totally unique and engaging…”  Rugby Tots runs weekly for Mini Moons, https://www.rugbytots.co.uk/toddler-classes

Youth Sports Development
Youth Sport Development provides a structured introduction, for each sport spread over 6 weeks. This is broken down into a warmup, main drill/activity, and a game. Each session links to the 7 areas of learning and development in the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS). These sessions are available to Full Moons on a weekly basis. https://www.youthsportsdevelopment.co.uk/

We believe that physical activity and wellbeing is an essential part of a healthy childhood. We are committed to providing our children with the opportunities and resources they need to be active and have fun.
